Re: EK SUPREMACY EVO ELITE NOT SITTING FLAT ON CPU

Grassy, Didn't know you frequented MLG, I think you have to decide on lapping that thing or sending it back, there is a method of using something like grid paper holding the block edge to the paper and viewing the reflection of lines from the paper on the block, this shows irregularities on the bloc...

Re: What DDR4 does anyone use??

If you look around the net you will see a lot of people having difficulties on the Z170 platform as a lot of memory for the X99 platform is on the QVL list. if you are up to playing with voltages and timing you can most kits to work. I have a Hero and initially had a Hynix kit from my X99 installed,...

Re: SkyLake - MSI Z170A XPOWER GAMING TITANIUM EDITION

Have done some testing on my Ripjaws V(New samsung) and my Kingston HyperX (old Hynix MFR). I would not spent too much money on these new samsung kits. Real performance is just not there...My Ripjaws can manage 3600+ with 14-18-18. They score better in AIDA than the all the results from the Trident...

Re: SkyLake - MSI Z170A XPOWER GAMING TITANIUM EDITION

I used to post my pics here from photo bucket but I couldn't get an image to show right now, I will have to figure that out soon. I put the system in a Corsair Air 540 with a Corsair H110Gt cooler. A Corsair 1200 AX power supply with the sleeved cable kit, a Samsung SM951 with Win 7, a Intel 750 wit...

Re: SkyLake - MSI Z170A XPOWER GAMING TITANIUM EDITION

Waiting for the urge to strike me, The heatspreadrs on the Trident Z modules are a thing of beauty, at least I think so. So here is what i have done so far, my 6700K runs real sweat at 4600MHZ, will do 4800, 4900 is tough and 5000 is a no go, using AIO cooling Trident Z 2 ea 2X4 GB module kits Havin...

Re: SkyLake - MSI Z170A XPOWER GAMING TITANIUM EDITION

Meankeys, Hope all is well in your life, the KPE is a great card and comes clocked as high as any and equipped to be the best clocker without any mods but needs some extreme cooling to get there. It's almost a disappointment when coming from a Titan X. Let me know if you need an EVBOT, I have 2, wil...

Re: Skylake-S i7-6700K Benchmarked

The MVIII Hero has memory presets where the MVII Hero did not, thank you ASUS, although I haven't relied on the presets on the RVE as much as I did on past platforms but they will get your memory in the ballpark settings for you. I had a set of GSKill 16GB 3000mhz CL15 from my RVE that I used the fi...

Re: Must read VGA guide

You can get a little higher boost clock without K boost but I think your going to get higher scores with a constant boost clock and K boost enabled Titan X scores are tough to beat with a 980ti, I recently sold my TX and have a second 980ti KPE on the way, work has been kicking my ass lately so I ha...

5960X "J" Batch

So there has been a little excitement on the net about the J batch processors being very good clockers on low voltage, post on OCN and HWBOT, I seen a couple guys here in the US picking theirs up at Microcenter so I went to the only store in California today and got a batch # J513B036, I have litera...
