My external gpu (eGPU) setup

So I wanted to game a bit but my laptop pretty much sucked at gaming due to only having integrated graphics (intel hd4000). I had a spare GPU laying around so I decided to try something new instead of building a crappy PC (I was on low budget). I did some research on EGPU setups and decided that thi...

Re: Project Cars League Table!!!

I have bought project cars and so I have signed up on the ^^MLG RACING^^ website. Hopefully all the parts to allow me to connect external GPU (hd7970) to my laptop will arrive by Monday because my frame-rate dips below 30 after few minutes on HD4000 for some reason, hopefully that fixes it. How woul...

Most cpus are convex thats why the block is designed like that, although it seems to me that your cpu block is too concave

Re: Issue with My 3.3V PSU Output.

Monitoring voltages through the motherboard is often not very accurate. 3.3V rail is the least likely rail to be dipping as it doesn't get much load. I recommend measuring the voltages using a multi meter. The software voltage readings for the 3.3v rail on your motherboard are probably inaccurate. v...

RAM is holding me back again! I'm using some Dane-Elec that came with the board. Does anyone have any suggestions on some good RAM for this chip and board? I feel sorry for you bud, the only thing dantec ram is good for is bashing it with 2V. You're not the only one :p I have some dantec "PREM...

First ever mobile GPU volt mod?! (105M)

The GPU that iv'e been experimenting with is an Nvidia 105M with 256mb of GDDR3 VRAM, housed inside samsung Q320 laptop with T4300 2.10ghz cpu OC'ed to 2.8ghz, and 4gb 667MHZ DDR2 RAM (soon to be flashed to 800MHZ) The stock voltage of this gpu is 1.2v, which allowed me to push the core clock to 880...

Re: Show Off Your Network/Storage/Servers

Networking is interesting to me, but I don't have any of the fancy networking stuff. I have an old laptop serving as a network drive on the LAN running windows 7, but it doesn't get any use tbh, I might look into setting up a proper NAS server. WIFI signal quality in my room isn't great, so I will s...

Nice review and a nice card you got there :) 4 VRM's for such a low power gpu with heatsink on the mofsets is nice to see, no need to worry about damaging this card when overclocking it

Legitimate Windows 7/8.1/10 download links

I have a habit of installing operating systems quite often, so it is important for me to have quick access to windows ISO files. I personally think that mx-2 is a good paste.

If you want some cheap-ish paste that you could use for both, sub zero and standard cooling, i recommend arctic silver ceramique

Iv'e been planning to switch to premiere pro for a long time but i never actually got around to learning the basics of it, but with so many advantages i think its about time to make the switch. Do you find navigating around premiere pro to be better than sony vegas?

Re: win xp drivers 980TI

You could try installing the windows 7 driver through device manager (make sure you select the files in the NVIDIA folder in the root of the system partition, where the installer unpacks the inf files etc.). Keep in mind that this method doesn't work for all drivers.
