Rate the last film you saw..
Re: Rate the last film you saw..
An old one currently on Netflix.
Glory.
With Denzel Washington, Matthew Broderick, Morgan Freeman
Story of the first all black regiment fighting both prejudice and the US civil war.
This one must have slipped me by as I'd never heard of it.. Not a great fan of Broderick but can't resist a film with Morgan Freeman. Decent story telling and compelling albeit the directing was a bit naff in places.
Still 7/10

The Impossible.
Amazing film and if you haven't seen it yet shame on you. I saw it originally at the pictures and it was every bit as good then.

Lucy
Good start to the film, but then goes a bit stupid near the end. It's about a woman who unlocks the other 90% of the human brain,by accidentally absorbing a bag of new drugs she was carrying inside her gut. It would be nice if I could unlock just 1% of my brain
overall a 6/10 film all day long..

Watched it with the girls, funny and reasonable action movie. Some of the references are very 80's (Footloose) that my girls did not pick up. I thought that is odd as this movie is aimed at the kids and there is no way they would have picked up on the references unless they had seen that particular movie. Overall the girls did like it and so did I.

Re-Watching Game of Thrones but squeezed in Flying Swords of Dragon Gate. Not Jet Li's best but still very enjoyable action and some good FX. 7.5/10 for me

Mommie Dearest.
I watched this with my mother when I was a kid and it haunted me for weeks. Obviously an old film and obviously you need to really have an interest in the subject matter but it's pretty powerful stuff none the less.

Interstellar
Not quite a fan of Matthew McConaughey and the film took some time to get into but a very enjoyable experience. Jessica Chastain is well fit though.
Big spoiler this so don't click if you've not seen it...

Lat night i watched Mega python v's gatoroid.
Truly awful movie about genetically modified snakes and alligators, starring former singers Tiffany and Debbie gibson. Terrible acting, cheesy references to their songs, ridiculous special effects, (particularly the cgi creatures). Im guessing both needed the cash to pay a few bills, and seeing as both have already done playboy this was the only option left to them. 2/10 as it made me laugh a few times at just how bad it was.

Re: Rate the last film you saw..
Blade Runner, on the big screen, it was the Final Cut version (No voiceover by Deckard, Unicorn dream sequence and it ends with Deckard and Rachael getting into the lift, no driving scene afterwards, straight to credits).
Bloody fantastic, never thought I'd get the chance to see this in a cinema and was proper weeing all week looking forward to it. So much detail in the periphary that I never made out on the small sceen. Very happy scifi junkie, Blade Runner has been my all time favourite film for most of my life so this was particularly special.
11/10 - Best film ever made

Dumb and dumber to.
Thankfully there's a dvd rip quality release doing the rounds and I got to see this last night.
It's hilarious. Never going to be as good as the first but still a very worthy effort and I was actually cracking up quite a few times.

Ironclad 2: Battle for Blood 6 / 10
Prefered the first one to be honest, which I would give a 8/10, I hope they make another as I love these medieval style films.
I've never seen this film and it's next on my list now, although I played the Westwood Studios game back in 1997, the graphics were absolutely amazing for the time.
