Dawn of Planet of Apes

Cleverly made, great visual effect and compulsive viewing. If you don't like this then you're most likely an Ape yourself :D

Agreed, I loved it too.

I watched TMNT, found it fun but Megan Fox can't act for toffee, and she looks really porcelein in the face these days. Michael Bay's action slowmo things getting a little tired and predictable now too. 7/10 though, still enjoyed it overall.

I watched Reclaim last night with Ryan Phillipe and John Cusak and hated it. It portrays the Haiti Earthquake and all the homeless/Orphaned children and a couple of Americans adopt a young girl but get scammed. The acting is weak and I am a fan of John Cusack's films but this was horrible. I wanted all the characters to get killed in the end but a usual predicted ending ensued.

1/10 for me :(

Deliver Us From Evil

7/10

Pretty good horror/excorcist type movie.

Eric Bana is pretty good in this...though it's not Munich...

Feel they could have tried harder to include a Jacuzzi scene somewhere for Olivia Munn...but you can't have everything...

I watched Dracula Untold last night and was well up for it and wasn't disappointed. It could have done with a bit more action but overall, I really did enjoy. 8/10 for me.

I made a huge mistake, I'm sure we've all done it. When discussing old films with a mate at work I recommended a film I remember fondly, despite not having seen it since my late teens (now about 25 years ago  ). After talking to him he's been hunting this film out on ebay and was going to purchase it so I thought I'd better watch it and make sure it's as good as I was making it out to be....... oh S***! It's utterly terrible, how the hell did I like this film so much? Late teens, well into scifi, like cars, it has a hot chick who showed her boobies which would have appealed greatly back then (not that they don't now, they're just not as fascinating). So I've managed to back-track on my recommendation and change it to Dark Star, which I've checked on recently and is still one of my all time favourite scifi films.
So what was this pile of turd you ask?
The Wraith (1984 or 86, can't recall specifically)

Don't watch it, you have been warned - 2/10 (for the scifi, the car, and the hot chick in 80's obscene swimwear)

Hobo with a shotgun.

Trust me, this one requires an iron stomach. It has to be, quite easily, *the* goriest film I have ever seen.

However, underneath it all is a fairly decent romp, even if it gets lost at times. I give it 7/10. Most certainly a B movie (it was filmed in Nova Scotia, a tiny Canadian Island on the way back to the UK from NY).

Good film and Hauer is god as usual.

Stonehearst Asylum

Edgar Allan POV story..

Cinematic very good film..

Lack some kind of "burst" now and then, not at all so twisted as some of Edgar's other work

7/10

Semi dull

The black raider revelation road..

Diet Mad Max scenario..

Back to dust and lawlessness (my future sanctuary)

Its not a premium grade production, but since i like them nuked civilization movies i am giving it a 6/10 (i really hope Sweden will turn into this some day, and it probably will)

Its not a massive sleeping pill....

A highlight here and there

Anarchy and a cute girl, wrapped up in a cover of vengeance and fury
