Thanks, will be pushing the chip as high as I can and the gpu's etc when I get my new case in feb next year as I have hardly any air flow at the moment and these rog boards sure do need it! :)

Well I have a very small case with a lot of kit in there, my H80i rad and fans are at the back 120mm mount sucking fresh air in, with that in place I can only have 1 120\140mm fan installed at the top and have that sucking out so it suck the hot air from rad out, 2 side 120mm fans sucking hot air out that these beastly 780 ti windforce's chuck out the side, and a front fan sucking in over hdd's, that's about as much airflow I can get out of this Z9+ case, the new case I want has much more room to install more fans as needed and roomier for airflow, I reckon the vrm area gets airflow but probably very little and warm id say, I could have the rad as exhaust out of the case I suppose as haven't tried that but sod it now, gonna wait for case :)

Yeah, sure just wait for the new case and then set things up...two 680 DCuIIs forced me out of a case onto a bench...two cards pouring heat out in all directions into the case turned even a HAFX into a toaster oven....for case prefer standard blower style designs I think...

Yer the reference coolers are great for enclosed spaces, the good thing about the wf coolers is it's not directed at the board or ends of the cards, but triangle out to the side which if you aint got side cooling, your gonna get heat haze around your pc lol, at least they force hot air in one direction which can be removed, but hell I could grill toast by holding it there with a fork haha

Can certainly agree guys, x2 wf cards packed together are a great way to warm up your feet after a cold day.

Was hoping to improve cooling a bit more, but it seems that royal fail have borked my fan delivery. Swear that company has went downhill since it was privatised. This time next year the taxpayers will probably have to bail it out.

Ah you love the bug on gpu-z menthol :P? It is just 2175 so not that insane really. It can run 2200+ at 1.7v I'm sure which is good.

Alright, after hours and hours of trying to get 3dmark11 to pass I actually got a bit improvement but I was so close getting 1690/2250 through 3dmark11. So many crashes at combined or at the end of GT4.

Head to head with menthol on graphics score but sadly 4790k has to step up inorder to have any chances against 5960x  .

well done Luumi is that 980 on warm or cold water?
still waiting to play with mine 980 classified on -10 water temps :)
still dont know what clocks to expect but it semms like 980 likes cold for core clock scaling.

Warm room temperature water. It passed all GT tests a few times at 1690/2250 but then I either crashed due to ram bug in physics or combined test failed  .

My result from last week. Sadly just 5.7 cpu on this although my 4790k can pass this 5.8-5.9+. 5.8 passed easily when pretesting it but I just wanted a score and not end up empty-handed. My 980 isnt good on ln2 and too many bugs were happening.
Still pretty decent as its the highest 1150 socket run with 1 vga on hwbot I can find.
