Not as smooth as the earlier drivers for me. Getting a bit of stutter every now and again in BF4.

Cheers and apparently, these do the upscaling with older cards (not sure how old) that was only meant for the new cards. It needs to be enabled in nvinspector and I will give this a go after work tonight.

Hey Greg, could you say how you enable this in nvinspector? I have it installed but never used it before, and do you need to enable it every time you start the computer and do you need to leave nvinspector open after changes or can you close it with the change in effect? Just one last thing too, what exactly does the upscaling do? Thanks in advance from complete nvinspector noob

I can't do this with my system, so you will have to try for yourself but essentially it is simple to do (so long as it works).

Download and open up nVidia Inspector and click on the spanners (arrow)

Image

Scroll down and change the number from 0 to 1 on "nvidia quality upscaling" and then click apply.

Image

Close all that off and open up Geforce experience and get it to recognise your games. Once loaded in, you should see an option to change the resolution (doesn't work for me). If it is there for you, you are good to go and report back on how it works/looks but if not, that guy was telling lies about it working on a 780 :D

Image

nvidia Inspector changes the driver and will remain working till you install new drivers and no need to open up nvidia inspector again :)

Had drops ito the 40's as well on big bf4 maps with the previous drivers, (using vsync due to card temps). Setting a frame limit in the bf4 user.cfg file helped a bit, (100 fps). Still get a bit of tearing but prefer that over input lag, and gpu's ran a bit cooler.

Thats a good idea about the fps cap, other games work nicely with this driver, thanks for the tip setter ;)

No probs mate, do you also get temp issues with the wf cards in sli? On your board can you not use a lower slot to leave a bigger gap. Cant do so on mine as it only has two 8x pcie slots.

My case aint very big so if I used the bottom slot it would be virtually sitting flat against my psu. I use slots 1 and 3 so there is a fair gap between em. I don't get temp problems tho as I have 2 side mounted 120 fans to suck all that hot air these beasts throw out the side, if I didn't have side cooling I wouldn't have got a 2nd card. My case is only a Zalman Z9+ and is small but it has excellent side cooling. Getting a new case for xmas or birthday and again must have good side cooling. A lot of cases have a side window but ive found the Corsair Carbide 500R has loads of side cooling and that's what im gonna get :) I did also try the side fans blowing on the cards thinking it would feed them fresh air but instead it heated my whole system up, cards and motherboard were up to melting point  by blasting the heat back at my system, so a couple of fans exhausting is the best way ;) What ive found with the WindForce coolers is that being starved of fresh air aint too much of a problem with my cards at least, but where that hot air ends up is. Top card after a Wednesday night session on BF4 gets to mid 60's, gets a little higher when not using vsync but that's still ok, bottom card is 5 - 8'c lower as expected so pretty good. Has your case got side fans mate? I highly recommend em :)

Seems a few peeps on the troll forum got issues with these.

I will wait till there is a good 2-3 pages of comments on Guru3D and then jump on them.
