AMD Threadripper possible cooling problem?

Post #1 by Scotchjock » Sun Aug 06, 2017 5:06 pm

Can Threadripper temps be kept under control with existing AIO coolers? Appears the cold plate doesn't cover the whole dye area, I'm sure it would be functional and may not even be a problem but if I was buying Threadripper I'd be waiting for newer coolers specific for Threadripper, be interesting to know how existing coolers would cope with an oc Treadripper chip, maybe spreading thermal paste out further towards the outside of cold plate would help.
