GTX 480 Dwood bracket.

It looked a bit ghetto..

But man, the temps and overclocks were superb !

OK really good news. It seems my studying the parts for hours by staring at them made them all do exactly what I wanted them to do :D

So first up the grill.

Image

Then eye it up...

Image

OK now I know what bars I need to cut out. Tin snips !

Image

Then file down the edges. Sadly I can't find the pot of black paint so they're going to have to be spray painted when the weather warms up. It's OK for now though, I don't even have the brackets yet.

Image

And finally... Tadaaaaa !

Image

It all went together exactly as I had envisioned it to ! massive sigh of relief.. Now it's literally ready to be bolted in. Well, once I braid the pump wires purple it will be ready :D

More work done. What I'm trying to do here is make it look at least somewhat custom. Any one can just bolt a AIO onto a GPU....

So first up, tested the compass my lady bought for me.

Image

Worked well :D

Image

OK now for the center rad cover. Mark.

Image

Mark the tube placement..

Image

And cut.

Image

Clean and peel.

Image

And, with a little anti kink.

Image

Got these today, expect heavy modding.

Image

Also got this which will be the distro for all of the pump/fans.

Image

And finally I braided all of the cable extensions.

Image

More soon :)

Right. So today I ordered two all black 92mm fans. It's highly annoying that NZXT supply black and white fans with a black adapter. Very, very annoying but thankfully £4 for two Antecs will do.

OK so it's time to tackle the ugly adapter itself. Time to give it a bit of a custom shove ;)

Draw.

Image

Send to plotter.

Image

One.

Image

Both.

Image

And I'm a lot happier with them than I was an hour ago.

Just waiting on the fans now and then with a bit more cutting with the plotter and so on I should be ready to fit.

Major update !

I got a bit fed up of the purple. It was a bit sullen if I'm honest and I really don't need that around me lol. So, I decided to rename the rig and do a couple of minor upgrades. Nothing too complicated on the upgrades, just switch out the wretched horrible CRAP (ahem) Corsair fans* and put something a bit more refined in. So I decided on Xigmatek and Cougar (under their OEM name). Fans.

Xigma.

Image

And the Cougars, under their OEM name but they're basically Vortex smoked.

Image

OK. So I wanted to change colour for something a bit happier. So I decided on orange. Then I ripped out all of the panels and gave them a bit of love with some orange DINOC and my plotter, which is finally starting to pay for itself.

Image

Modded the pump cover.

Image

Modded the GPU fan plate.

Image

Cut down the front panel so I could fit a fan controller.

Image

And done there.

Image

And then I removed all of the cable extensions and braided all of the purple wires orange, did a bit of magic aaaand...

Image

Note.. HDD cooling fans are orange Cougar Vortex that I already had and I also fitted a 200mm Enermax Vegas to the front the same as my red AMD rig :)

OK one thing I had forgotten was the EVGA SLI bridge. I coloured the transparent plate purple so there was no going back really. Bring on the acrylic !

Image

And...

Image

Much better :)

OK so I took the all purple cables for the third GPU and braided them in orange and black..

Image

And have started work on a completely custom SLI bridge. I can't use the EVGA because I snapped out the middle fingers so I could fit a GTX 770 in there.

Thanks fella !

Well I was going to fit a third Titan but I think I've made a mistake. So I'm going to build an ultra portable rig (Hadron Air I think) and put the third Titan in that.
