Virgin upgrade incoming..

Post #1 by SuffolkBoy » Tue Sep 22, 2015 9:01 pm

Looks like those of us on virgin media will be getting another free broadband speed upgrade in October! I have already had an email of them stating its on its way :D :D :D

http://www.ispreview.co.uk/index.php/2015/09/speed-tests-hint-of-faster-virgin-media-broadband-upload-speeds.html

I know the speeds are only predicted but fingers crossed...

That's nice of them.
What they need to do is get rid of that stupid phone line rental at £15-£16 a month :x :x :x . Never use my home phone line, but got to have it because i have the tv and broadband package.

I hear you guy's... It's the same here in the states. They make you bundle every thing. besides how else would the tella marketers call you

If they can make you pay separately for pay channels then I should be able to pay only for the channels I watch. If I lied to you I bet I only watch 7 - 10 channels out of hundreds.

Make sure you you have cat5e + patch cables if you're going over 100mbps.;)

Shame their TV isn't as good.

Yeah I begrudge paying line rental and I don't even have my home phone plugged in! Got fed up of marketing calls. And I'm with you on the tv side of things paul it could be a lot better. Ive just had a price hike because I watch btsport for the MotoGp. In an ideal world I would have sky for tv and virgin for broadband but ive looked into it and it costs way more then I'm paying now and I'm on the top tier for both :(

Looks like its not the double speed we were hoping for! But still good for free..

Those on 50mb will go up to 70mb
Those on 100 will go up to 152mb
Those on 152 will go up to 200mb....

Wish they would up the upload speed a bit! 200 down is fine and dandy but 13 up is killing me :/
