Ram Fins Touching CPU Cooler Heatsink

Post #1 by aaronpawlak » Mon Apr 02, 2018 3:05 pm

I just installed my Cooler and RAM and noticed that the top of my 4th RAM is just touching the bottom of the CPU Cooler's heatsink. Is there going to be a problem?
In addition, my power cable for the CPU is wrapping around the top of my RAM. Is this safe to do?

Please help.

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.

you dont really want to put any force on the ram slots at all so really this is not a good idea. you will either be better with low profile ram so the heatsink clears it, or bend or cut some fins out the heatsink so it clears the ram.
